Air Draft Monitoring System

In the history, serious collision accidents occurred between vehicles and architecture or large scale equipment. In response, the government has strict requirement on the vertical space between vehicles (vessel, aeroplane) and obstacles (bridge, crane, power lines). Real-time measurement of air draft, the distance from the surface of the water to the highest point on a vehicle, can provide prevention to vehicles with frequently changing air draft from collision with overhead obstacles.

The introduction of Air Draft Monitoring System (ADMS) provides active air draft monitoring and precaution to vehicles or large-scale equipment by installation of height measurement devices to tall moving parts in vehicles with adjustable height. Once the pre-set height threshold is exceeded, alarm will be triggered to warn the operator to lower the height of moving parts before collision occurs. The data can also be centralized to monitoring centre via cloud computing.
